Los Angeles-based quartet SAINT MOTEL may be known for their inventive indie pop and clever lyrics but you get the feeling they don’t take themselves too seriously. Case in point: their new video for the single “1997″ from their recently released LP “Voyeur.” Directed by the band’s very own A/J Jackson, the video takes place at the famous (infamous?) L.A. bar, The Dresden, and centers on a sinister version of the world famous lounge singers, Marty & Elayne. The lounge singing duo takes the band on an out of body experience through their captivating performance of “1997″.
The video is a little bit sinister, a little bit wacky and yet still full of charm, not unlike the band itself. Check out the video for “1997″ below:
