Pencils and Lunchboxes Re-Imagined…

A friend of ours in London alerted us to these pre-chewed pencils, made by a UK company called Concentrate. The line of home goods and accessories was launched as a way to help kids enjoy school and well, concentrate, just a little better. The creators looked at reasons that children might be distracted, uncomfortable, or unable to focus, and set about designing some simple, cost-effective products to address the problems. Though we’re not sure how the chewed-up pencils fit the mission statement (perhaps with nothing to chew on you’re forced to pay attention to the blackboard?), we love the creative spin on a simple item. Plus, the company also makes this fruit-friendly lunchbox, which certainly wins our award for being the most practical piece of tupperware we’ve seen in a long time. Though the line of products was originally designed for kids, we think the pencils and lunchboxes will definitely bring some fun back to the office as well. Check out the whole story behind the company at concentrate.org.uk.
