Corduroy in Stockholm

We’ve been in Stockholm since Monday, soaking in the sights of this gorgeous Scandinavian city, and also taking in a couple of meetings for Corduroy as well. The weather has been ideal (save from some fits of rain every now and then), the food delicious and the people just as cool as you’d expect.

Today, we spent the afternoon in Södermalm — the “artsy” part of town, known for its cobblestone alleyways, public gardens and good shopping. We met up with Alexander, a reader who contacted us about a year ago when he was thinking of opening his own magazine shop. Fast-forward twelve months and there we were in his new store, “Papercut” – a delightful shop in the heart of Södermalm crammed with a carefully-curated selection of books, CDs, DVDs and of course, magazines. I had brought a stack of Corduroys with me to give to Alexander, but was thrilled to discover that he was already selling our latest issue. And to my utter surprise (and sincere appreciation), our magazine was prominently displayed throughout the store (The photo below was not manipulated, I swear!).

Thanks to Alexander for the support (and for giving me tips on places to visit, along with hand-written directions on how to get there!) If you’re in Stockholm, check out the shop on Krukmakargatan 24-26. If you’re not, check them out online at papercut.se.
