We’re not sure when we decided to start wearing CK One again. Maybe we were craving a little nostalgia and loved how the scent brought us back to our carefree high school days of summers spent by the beach or at the cottage up north. Or maybe it was when the cologne we were wearing suddenly lost its “juice,” so to speak, evaporating and losing its scent the second we sprayed it on. Or maybe we decided to pick up CK One again after we realized the current crop of colognes in stores was either too complicated and pretentious or too overbearing for a scent. We craved simplicity and something tried and true. CK One, as the saying goes, was just right.
Returning to an old scent can be a lot like trying to fit into your prom dress again — sometimes it just doesn’t work out quite like you remembered it. Fortunately for us, Calvin Klein is giving its signature scent a modern makeover, courtesy of a limited-edition bottle designed by Fabien Baron. In addition to the new violet-hued design, a portion of sales will go toward Planete Urgence, an environmental aid agency dedicated to addressing climate change and reforestation. For every bottle sold, a tree will be planted by the organization. Available exclusively at select Sephora locations, the bottle hits stores this July.
