Two renowned American clothing brands have teamed up to re-make an iconic American clothing staple. Levi’s and Brooks Brothers are launching a new collection of jeanswear for men, saddled with the long but appropriate name, “Levi’s Jeans, Made in the USA for Brooks Brothers.” The collection is the latest in an ongoing series of special collaborations for both brands and fits perfectly into the current sartorial obsession with “heritage” items and all things Americana.
The new line will consist of the original and iconic 501 jean, the 505 jean (the zip-fly “sibling” of the 501 jean) and the more modern and streamlined 514 “Slim Straight” jean. In keeping with the “Made in America” theme, all the jeans will be crafted in a factory in Los Angeles. The jeans will retail for $148 a pair and will be available at Brooks Brothers stores nationwide and online at www.brooksbrothers.com beginning this week.
