I’m on the hunt for a new pair of glasses in time for my birthday later this month, but if I can’t find the perfect frames, I’ll happily settle for these eyeglass necklaces inspired by famed contemporary artists Gilbert & George (In fact the retro frames pictured on the right are based on the actual pair worn by George). The black frames have clear acrylic lenses with a metal alloy chain, and each necklace features the Gilbert & George signature etched on a gin bottle tag at the clasp for authenticity. With the glasses measuring 12cm x 4cm, they’re also true to size, which means they could look just as good around your head as they do around your neck.

Originally created for the Gilbert & George exhibition at San Francisco’s de Young Museum (the exhibition is now touring), the necklaces are now on sale online and at in select boutiques.
