Swedish contemporary mens and womenswear line Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair has been a favorite of ours for a few years now, and we were lucky enough to take a tour of their headquarters when we were in Stockholm this summer. But up until now, North American customers could only find the label in select boutiques. That all changes today, with the launch of Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair’s online shop. Now fans of the label’s classically tailored and detailed shirts, suiting and jackets (think solid-colored wardrobe basics with an architectual twist) can find their favorite pieces and order them online. Featured right now is Shoe Repair’s autumn 2009 collection, which plays with dark, moody theatrics and a special 3D technique in cutting fabric and constructing shapes in a cubistic manner (Designers Astrid and Lee have dubbed it “soft cubism”) Inspiration for the collection was drawn from two of Picasso’s famous paintings: “Girl With a Mandolin” and “Guitar.” Check out pics of Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair’s latest collection below, and buy it online at HERE.
