The Wallflowers are back with their first single in seven years, a Clash-inspired track called “Glad All Over,” featuring Mick Jones on vocals and guitar. The album, which was recorded in Nashville, is the band’s attempt to modernize their rock sound. Frontman Jakob Dylan told Rolling Stone the band’s current goal is to be “a rock band that could make a dance track too, without crossing over to the extreme side.” There’s something nostalgic about a Wallflowers track but this single sets them up nicely for the future as well.
