Last spring, Brazilian footwear maker Melissa teamed up with long-time collaborator Vivienne Westwood for a festive spring rendition of the classic Lady Dragon heel. Now, the peep-toe slingbacks are being re-released just in time for Valentines Day. The new model, signed by Vivienne Westwood, is made from a sustainable natural rubber, and splashes with a vibrant fuchsia base and a sweet plastic red heart on the toe.
The eco-friendly Lady Dragon heel is made out of a comfy and easy-to-clean sustainable rubber, like most Melissa shoes, and also features a cushy foam insole and adjustable strap. Plus, it’s cute without being over-the-top, and works equally well with a flowing dress and top as it does with a pair of skinny jeans. These re-issued heels are the perfect gift this Valentine’s Day for the girl who likes her shoes and sentiments all wrapped up in one. The “Melissa for Vivienne Westwood” shoes are available at Epaulet in New York and Next Door Clothing in Toronto.
