Paris-based photographer Vincent Bousserez has imagined an entire universe which only exists within the confines of the Louis Vuitton Champs-Élysées store. In a photo series commissioned by the French luxury house, Bousserez captures a miniature world where miniscule figures engage with the seemingly larger than life luxury goods.
Inspired by the photographer’s fantasies about the Vuitton store after-hours, Bousserez hopes that the viewer will come to appreciate the pleasures of life. From an image depicting two newlyweds crossing the threshold of a white leather handbag, to another photo, which captures a team of construction workers as they labor to jackhammer the iconic monogram on a notebook cover; the photographer manages to animate the inanimate designer accessories.
We really like how the novelty of Bousserez’s chosen scale allows us to fully appreciate the quality and craftsmanship of each piece. Leather textures, metal hardware, and uniform stitching surprisingly take the spotlight despite the whimsical chaos enacted by the surrounding figures. And it gives us a whole new perspective, literally, into what Louis Vuitton is all about.
